Under the patronage of the honorable Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Fadel Sarhan, the Head of the Petroleum Engineering Branch, Dr. Imad Abdel Hussein, and the Director of JAPTER, the University of Technology - SPE, Dr. Jihad Hussein Al Juma, the JAPTER University of Technology of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) held a scientific symposium on Wednesday, 3/6/2024. In the presence of the branch head, Dr. Imad Abdel Hussein, and the branch rapporteur, M.M. Muhammad Abdullah and a number of professors and students of the department.

Engineer Mustafa Muhammad Kazem gave a lecture that included two topics. The first topic included a lecture on how to plan a CCP career path, while the second topic included a technical lecture related to midstream surface production facilities.This symposium aims to educate the department’s students about the importance of starting professional steps, as well as developing their practical skills and enhancing their chances of obtaining suitable jobs after graduation.

The Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Service/Scientific Evaluation Department and the Ministerial Programming Team from Al-Mustansiriya University, in cooperation with Assyria University, held a workshop today, Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the headquarters of Assyria University, attended by private colleges and some government colleges, to explain the working mechanism of the scientific expert system and how to include teaching professors in universities. All holders of academic titles are eligible to be among the system’s experts for evaluating university theses, dissertations, and dissertations, to be an integral part of the system of university experts in Iraq.

In order to increase the bonds of scientific cooperation between Brazilian universities, new forms in the fields of advanced academic level, and after the Petroleum University represented by the Department of Chair Engineering and Purple, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem and the Sulaymaniyah Technical University, represented by the College of Dramatic Arts. A delegation from the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, headed by Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem, Head of the Department, Dr. Ramzi Sayhoud Hamid, Administrative Assistant, and a number of teaching staff, participated in the Third International Conference on Modern Technologies in the Oil and Gas Industry, which was held in Sulaymaniyah by the Department of Chemical Engineering/University. Technology, in cooperation with the University of the Future, the Central Refineries Company, and the Komar University of Science and Technology, on Wednesday, 3/6/2024, and in the presence of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban, the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ajami Sukkar, and a large number of participating teachers and researchers. As part of the national afforestation campaign and in continuation of the volunteer campaigns held by the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and under the direct supervision of the Department Head, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem, the students and staff of the department carried out a volunteer campaign that included painting the facade of the buildings opposite the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering. The campaign will also include planting in the coming days. Planting empty spaces surrounding the department in order to clean and purify the air from pollutants, give positive energy and be a green outlet for our students and all members.
